RESIDENCY STATUS

• Temporary 5 years and 3 months however they offer a direct pathway to permanent residence after three years, subject to meeting certain residence and investment or business turnover requirements.

• Investment period 5 years.
• Residency status is temporary but can get PR after 3 years and Citizenship after another 4 years.
• There is no requirement to live in Australia.
• Best for those who still have International Business and that don’t want to pay Australian Tax on World Wide Income.

There are four visa options:
1. Business Innovation stream.
2. Investor stream.
3. Significant Investor stream.
4. Entrepreneur stream.

The 188 provisional visas’ validity will be changed from four years to five years.
Eligible applicants will be able to apply for permanent residency if they meet the
requirements after three years

1- Business Innovation stream
This provisional visa is for people with business skills. It lets you operate a new
or existing business in Australia. With this visa, you can…

• operate a new or existing business in Australia with an annual turnover requirement of AUD 750,000.
• bring eligible members of your family with you.
• apply for a permanent Business Innovation and Investment
  (Permanent) visa (subclass 888) Business Innovation stream.

You must

• score at least 65 on the points test.
• provide proof of your business success (annual turnover, ownership
  stake).
• You, your partner, or you and your partner together, have total net business and personal assets of at least AUD 1,250,000.
• You must operate a new or existing business in Australia.
• You must be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency.

2-Investor stream
This provisional visa requires you to invest at least AUD 2.5 million in an Australian State or Territory and maintain business or investment activity in Australia.With this visa, you can

• carry out business and investment activity in Australia.
• bring eligible members of your family with you.
• apply for a permanent Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (subclass 888) Investor stream if certain requirements are met.

You must

• make an investment of AUD 2.5 million in an Australian State or Territory.
• score at least 65 on the points test.
• have a net business, investment, and personal assets of at least AUD2.25 million.
• You must be endorsed by an Australian State or Territory government agency

3. Significant Investor stream
This provisional visa is for people who invest at least AUD 5 million in Australian investments that meet certain requirements and maintain investment activity in Australia.
With this visa, you can

• carry out investment activities in Australia.
• apply for a permanent Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (subclass 888) Significant Investor stream if certain requirements are met.

You must

• be invited to apply for this visa.
• be nominated by a State or Territory government agency or Austrade to invest at least AUD 5 million that meets certain requirements and have a genuine intention to hold that investment for at least for 5 years.
• have a genuine intention to live in the State or Territory whose government agency nominates you.
• reside in the country for an average of 40 days a year for primary visa holders

4. Entrepreneur stream
This provisional visa lets you carry out entrepreneurial activities in Australia.
With this visa, you can…

• carry out the entrepreneurial activity in Australia.
• bring eligible members of your family with you.
• apply for a permanent Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (subclass 888) Entrepreneur stream if certain requirements are met.

You must

• undertake, or propose to undertake, a complying entrepreneur activity in Australia.
• You must have a funding agreement with a third party to carry out entrepreneurial activities.
• have at least competent English.
• your entrepreneurial activity.
• have at least competent English.
• You must first be endorsed by an Australian State or Territory government agency
